Frequently Asked Questions

Is there an age limit?

Not at all! We’ve worked with skaters as young as 2 years old and plenty of adults in their 40s, 50s, and 60s — and we welcome anyone who wants to learn, no matter your age. At our lessons, we meet you where you’re at, with zero expectations of previous skateboarding experience. Our goal is to provide a safe, supportive environment where you can progress at your own pace. We work incrementally, from the ground up, so every skater leaves feeling confident, safe, and ready for their next session.

What do I need for my skateboard lesson?

All skaters need a skateboard and a helmet — that’s a must! Elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards are strongly recommended for extra protection, but not required. Don’t have your own gear? No worries — we’ve got plenty of skateboards and protective gear you can borrow for free during your lessons. Closed-toed shoes are required (sorry, no crocs, flip-flops, or sandals), and bringing a water bottle is a great idea to stay hydrated while you shred.

What is your inclement weather & reschedule policy?

Safety first! A wet skatepark is an unsafe skatepark and can also damage your board, so if it looks like rain may affect your lesson, we’ll do our best to give at least 24 hours notice to reschedule. NC weather can be unpredictable, so sometimes we have to adjust last-minute — but we always do our best to make it work!

Lessons can be rescheduled anytime with at least 24 hours notice using the link in your confirmation email. If you need to reschedule with less than 24 hours’ notice, just give us a call at (919) 909-0633, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your unique situation.

If you need to fully cancel a lesson, please do so at least 24 hours in advance. Refunds are processed within 7 business days.

What is the best place to purchase skateboard gear?

We highly recommend purchasing any kind of skateboard related gear from your local skate shop! Everyone who works at the shops are extremely knowledgable and more than happy to answer any questions or point you in the right direction when purchasing gear.
